Summer is well underway and as we arrive at the end of June, it certainly feels as though it is flying by! However, there is still plenty of golfing ahead this season and we would love to have more of our women golfers (new & experienced) join us on our Tuesday(9) evening and Thursday morning(18) leagues!

One of the highlights this month occurred on June 2nd. Clayton arranged a “Magical Mystery Tour” for the WGG. Clayton, Chris and ten WGG members jumped on a party bus destined for a day of golf to a location unknown to all except, of course, our pros & the driver. The bus arrived in Lakeville for a beautiful day of golf at Brackett’s Crossing Country Club, followed by dinner and an extremely fun bus ride back to Dellwood. Thank you so much Clayton & Chris for a remarkable day – we can’t wait to do it again!

The Tri Club Event (Dellwood Country Club, Stillwater Country Club and Mendakota Country Club) was held this year at Stillwater CC June 8th. The ladies enjoyed a beautiful day. Stillwater CC was a gracious host with a lovely breakfast and delicious lunch as well as providing the opportunity to play a very pretty course. Stillwater won the event.

We are holding our own in the City League. There are 18 teams and we are currently in 10th place and this is very tough competition. Congratulations and thanks to Sue Ryan who got 16 points, which I’ve heard is the most points by a single player this season!

Dellwood remains in the lead with the Traveling Team! Way to go ladies and thank you Maggie Batten for doing such a great job of keeping everyone motivated!

We are looking forward to one of our favorite annual events on July 28th. The Solheim Cup! If you haven’t registered, please do so as soon as possible.

Also in July our Golf Shop will host a formal guest day for our WGG July 12th.

Traveling team will play Town & Country Friday, July 8th. Please contact Maggie Batten if you are interested in participating.
