We wrapped up our season with another very successful Glow Ball Tournament for the WGG. Once again, the costumes were amazing! Our good fortune with weather continued that evening as we enjoyed one of the nicest evenings we have ever had for this event. Special thanks to Clayton and Matt for their help in organizing the evening and joining in to play! Tracy, David and Chef Peter put together a yummy selection of appetizers, soup and desert; thank you so much!
The WGG Board held their first 2016 planning meeting November 14th. We finalized a very busy 2016 calendar and discussed ways we can improve our events and encourage more participation.
The WGG dues will remain the same this year at $100.00, however now the fee will include your membership to the MWGA as well as the WGG events. The pro shop will be managing a couple of the events that were previously on our slate. This change has allowed us to incorporate the MWGA dues. The Minnesota Women’s Golf Association was founded in 1888 with the mission “To enrich all aspects of the game for amateur women golfers”. The primary reasons we choose to support the MWGA is to encourage the growth of women’s golf in Minnesota and support the Foundation. The MWGA Foundation provides opportunities (scholarships) for youth, high school and college girls involved or interested in golf.
The next meeting will be in February, please contact me if you have ideas you would like to share that would enhance your enjoyment of our club, events and activities.
Have a wonderful holiday season!
