Happy Holidays!! Your club is ready to celebrate the holidays with you, your family and friends. Golf members of Dellwood Country Club have already received a big gift. Just over one million dollars has been spent on new cart paths, new bunkers, golf course equipment, trees, mounding and course updates. And there were no assessments! We also have a golf course that is pristinely maintained – something every member can be proud to play and show off to friends and business acquaintances. Next spring cannot come soon enough. The gifts for Pool / Tennis members and Social / Dining members will be delivered over the next year. 2014 will be one of the best ever in the 43 years of our Club. If you know of anyone who is considering joining, please remind them that our initiation fee will increase from $2,500 to $5,000 effective January 1. No dues for new members until April and no dues increase in 2014.
Much has happened over the past year since the club was purchased. Your Advisory Committee recommended we hold a Town Hall meeting as there is much to update and discuss. The meeting will be held on December 10th at 6:30 in the Ballroom. We will also open the Grill that evening from 5 pm – 10 pm. The agenda will include:
- Recap of the year – capital spending and enhancements
- Update on phases 2 (pool complex) and 3 (clubhouse and exterior) of our renovations
- New Advisory Committee Officers and members Q & A
I hope to see you all at the Town Hall meeting to recap this very exciting year in our history, share info and hear your feedback and comments.
We have added another amenity to your membership. We now have a notary for your convenience. If you need anything notarized you can stop by the office Mon-Fri from 9-5 and Michelle will take care of it for you.
We have begun a national search for a new assistant golf professional. The process will take a few months and we intend to have the new person in place when we open for golf next spring.
One last reminder – the clubhouse will be open all of January. In February the Grill will be closed but we will be open for events through the entire month. If you have any special needs for small parties or other use of the club’s facilities please call and we will do what we can to take care of your needs. There will be no charge for food minimums in February. The Grill and Clubhouse will be open in March and for the remainder of the season.
