Club Renovations

Last week we finished the design phase for our Clubhouse remodel, pool renovation and site improvements. It will take about two weeks to create the drawings of what each element will look like so we have scheduled the Town Hall meeting for September 11th at 6:30 in the Ballroom. The agenda will include a review of all improvements and the construction timelines. There will be pictures to look at and our Architect will be in attendance to answer questions. It will be a fun evening as we roll out the designs for our new pool complex and clubhouse remodel!
With the dry weather we are able to start on some of the mounding projects on the course. There are four holes that will get mounding this year:

  • Hole 16 – the right side of the fairway around the dog leg and around the green (to create a little more stadium effect).
  • Hole 17 – on the left corner of the fairway dog leg and around the green.
  • Hole 5 – additional mounding around the left side of the green.
  • Hole 6 – along the right side of the fairway.

We started on hole 16 today and will progress through the other holes this fall. The work around the greens of 16 and 17 will be completed while the back side is closed for installation of cart paths (Sept. 18 to September 27).

The Dellwood Shoot-Out last week was a very successful event and those who participated were responsible for a significant and much needed donation to the White Bear Food Shelf of $1,900. Our club is committed to the game of golf and our community. We will continue to designate a charitable cause for our key events each year.

That’s all for now. As always, feel free to let me or any of our staff know what we can do to make membership at DCC the best experience possible.
