Memorial Day is behind us, and summer has officially arrived. We understand that it feels different than normal in many aspects of life, Dellwood included. Nonetheless, our staff is committed to make your experience memorable each time you come to the club. Our driving range is open, and we are making the transition to hitting off the grass. I also want to thank Eric Peterson and his staff for getting our golf course in great shape.
As we look forward into the peak of the golf season, we are still planning on hosting many of our big events. Our Memorial Day Classic was very popular, with 82 men and 20 women competing. It was great to see our first major event of the year generate such a fantastic turnout.
There will be some necessary changes to our events until we are given the ability to congregate in large groups again. For our Memorial Day Classic, we altered the format from 5 9-hole best ball matches to 36-hole best ball stroke play. This gave us the ability to utilize tee times instead of a shotgun start, therefore minimizing large gatherings both before and after the round. We will continue to conduct events with tee times until further notice. Men’s Goodfellows Guest Day has been transitioned to tee times, and all 9-hole Women’s shotguns have postponed.
Our Dellwood CC Golf Staff wants to extend our sincere thanks for your understanding of our current operations. We look forward to transitioning back to a sense of normalcy as soon as we are allowed. Please stay safe, and we look forward to seeing you at Dellwood soon.
