What makes DCC truly unique? I am certain every member has a little different perspective on what is most important and what is special. The great thing is that we offer a very wide variety of Services & Amenities that make us different from a typical country club. Our core objective is to continually look for ways to enhance your membership, consistently provide great experiences and not be just another country club that offers golf and dining.
You will notice we have added a new page to our newsletter. This page describes some of the Services and Amenities that we offer. I encourage you to look it over each month as we work to continually expand our services and the benefits of membership. I am going to guess there are services we can provide that you were unaware of and will be of value to you. Our Member Relations Director, Alicia Donicht, and our staff are always available to assist you and take care of your needs. We are happy to do what we can to make your life easier – just ask!
The Clubhouse and Grill re-open on March 5th. I am very happy to announce that we have hired a new Services Manager to replace Bryan. Our own Dan Brown has agreed to take on the role. He is very excited about the increase in responsibility and the opportunity to have a bigger role in providing exceptional member service.
David and Tom have been busy training our Servers while we have been closed and Brandon has developed a new menu for your dining pleasure.
Until the golf season starts we will be open the following hours:
Wednesday to Friday from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Saturday from 9:00 am – 9:00 pm
Sunday from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
As a reminder, our new policy on minimums is $50, food only, per month beginning March 1st. All members are on a calendar month for minimums. The entire staff is looking forward to seeing you!
As many are aware we had a water pipe burst this winter. We are in the final stages with our insurance company to get approval on repairing the damages. Repairs should be completed by the end of March. Please pardon some of the unsightly areas of our clubhouse until they get repaired.
Progress on the Pool Complex and Utility Building are on track for now. Work will be completed on the two buildings by April 15th. Hopefully frost will be out of the ground by then so we can start construction of our new pool and lazy river. I will provide updates on when the pool is projected to open as we get a better handle on the weather this spring.
We are contemplating putting together a DCC softball team (or two if there is enough interest) for this summer. If you have an interest in participating please let Alicia know. Yes, we will have spring and summer this year.
As always, should you have any comments, recommendations or concerns please contact me.
Lastly, our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of Jim and Julia Adams and the Niemczyks. Jim and Julia lost their son James in a tragic car accident this past week. There are no words that can express our heartfelt sorrow. We are here in support as the family tries to deal with their loss. Sadly, former long time member Jim Niemczyk passed away last week. Jim was a past member and developed many deep friendships in the Dellwood community. He always had a terrific smile, kind word and wonderful sense of humor. He will be missed.
